Belief and the NDE

QUESTION

“Dr. Atwater, you say you created things animated like trees and people.  But did the people do what you want? I mean, if you would have thought of people/a person coming and doing a specific act f.e. kissing you, living with you in the house you created, sleep with you and having a relationship with you.  Do you believe they would do it? And do you have a clue, if this creating process works on earth?” ....Michael

ANSWER

Goodness, you seem to have a few things a little backwards from what I shared about my near-death experiences.  So, allow me to set a few things straight.

My little self-published book I Died Three Times in 1977 - the Complete Story is still available through Amazon.com.  I suggest you read it. I did prepare a brief shortened version of all three of my NDEs and some of what I’ve done before and since then in an article I originally prepared for the Dr. Oz show, for possible guests, as their criteria to be on the show insisted I be a near-death experiencer.  They turned me down because I was a researcher, so I wrote them back showing that indeed I was also an experiencer having died three times in three months, each time having a different NDE, then becoming a researcher because of what I was told to do in my third experience.

I did not attempt to make any of the three seem bigger than they were - just stayed with the facts as I knew them.  No one can really describe what happened to them in death. There are no words anyone can use that “does the job” but I tried.  All of us who have such an experience existed elsewhere.  Some experiencers have an idea of where they were, what plane of existence, what dimension, what place.  All I did was simply describe what happened to me, what I saw, and what I learned from that.

Wherever I was - IT WAS VERY REAL.  During my second episode, everything I did was as real to me as what I am doing now at my computer responding to your question.  No, none of your guesses happened, nor were those feelings and responses you suggested even relevant. Anything else I might say would be pure guesswork devoid of meaning.

Thank you, though, for expressing your thoughts.  Someday I may write a little more about what happened then, and what happened again -as I was trying to pen both Future Memory and A Manual for Developing Humans.  During each of those two times The Voice Like None Other, from my third near-death experience, returned. . . to help me write both books.

I’ve spent over 40 years doing “my work.”  Someday I might finish. Blessings, PMH
